Celebrating Everyday Spirituality

Together Around the Globe in One Room

Sisters of Notre Dame are participating in a General Conference during October at Lial Renewal Center. This brings together one or two Sisters from nations where we live and minister. As they gathered by plane or car, the excitement grew. Some met in person for the first time, although they knew many Sisters through videos. Others have been friends for many years. Regardless, the unity is palpable, the camaraderie loud, and the joy unmistakable.

To make our guests feel welcome, effort is made to vary the menu. Think entrées from Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, Germany, Brazil, and the United States. Many sisters have developed new favorite foods, especially desserts. Pizza gets the most smiles. From week to week, we see more unity in heart, mind and tastebuds!  All good nourishment to power the participants for heady work and deep attention to the Holy Spirit, as our congregation moves toward the future beckoned by God and energized by our vibrant charism of trusting God’s provident care.
