God’s infinite affection

Wild turkeys

[col2]Two families of wild turkeys make the woods at Lial Renewal Center their home. Every night around 6:30 pm the parents fly into the tree, and the children—Are young turkeys called “goblets”?—nestle side by side.  If God’s creative energy makes wild turkeys so affectionately protective of their young, then how much more infinite affection does God lavish upon me?[/col2]

  1. Thanks for this reflection from God’s gift of creation, Sr. Valerie! Just think what we could learn and live if we really had our eyes open to the miraculous in nature!

  2. Ditto Sr. Susan! We are surrounded by the miraculous in nature and I take it for granted. . . God lavishes infinite affection on all beings. Thanks sisters, for the reminder to keep myself aware.
